Seasons change with the scenery 🍁, so does Otemachi Toastmasters Club welcoming new ideas and people. This week, we held a thrilling MOGMOG 3 Super Eval Session<\/strong>! 🗣️<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was indeed fruitful! Hats off to Taka and EC members who spent days in preparation! 🙏🙏<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, Tips Master Carlos<\/strong> shared his “survival” strategy 🛡️ to remove the fear of giving evaluations. His key takeaway: “Survive now, succeed later.”<\/strong> 🚀 He stressed viewing the evaluation as a 90-second minimum speech<\/strong> ⏱️ focusing on “The one thing”<\/strong>! 🎯<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main session emphasized that evaluation is a mixture of art and technique 🎨:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Extracts “values”<\/strong> out of the speech. 💎<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Motivates the speaker to do the speech again. 💪🔥<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The meeting was structured into three parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Model Speech:<\/strong> Taka<\/strong> delivered his moving speech, “My Responsibility,”<\/strong> about making a life-changing decision for his mother. 💖<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Evaluation:<\/strong> Four evaluators applied the techniques to Taka’s speech. 🎤<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Evaluators of Evaluators:<\/strong> Four experienced members then evaluated the evaluators’ comments, completing the “Super Eval”<\/strong> cycle for maximum learning! 🔄<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      We also had a staggering seven fabulous guests<\/strong>\u2014Janani, Tomoka, Keika, Misa, Koko, Takako, and Mizuki\u2014all enthusiastic about learning public speaking! Welcome aboard! 👋<\/p>\n\n\n\n
