{"id":600,"date":"2025-09-27T18:46:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T09:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/otemachi.blog\/toastmasters\/?p=600"},"modified":"2025-11-08T05:01:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T20:01:21","slug":"2025-9-24-otmc-meeting-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otemachi.blog\/toastmasters\/2025\/09\/27\/2025-9-24-otmc-meeting-report\/","title":{"rendered":"2025\/9\/24 OTMC Meeting Report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#x2600;&#xfe0f; Summer has collapsed into Fall &#x1f342; \u2014 the perfect timing for an evening full of laughter at OTMC! &#x1f604;<br>Our September 24 meeting carried the theme <strong>LOL: a safe place to tell a joke<\/strong> &#x1f3a4;&#x1f602;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#x1f44f; Big thanks to Joju, who stepped in as acting President and guided the meeting smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#x1f3c6; Awards of the Evening:<br>&#x2728; <strong>Best Table Topics Speaker<\/strong>: Hiro<br>&#x2728; <strong>Best Evaluator<\/strong>: Naoko<br>&#x2728; <strong>Best Prepared Speaker<\/strong>: Mat<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#x1f31f; Highlights of the night:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Carlos took on <strong>Toastmaster of the Evening<\/strong> for the very first time &#x1f389; and kicked off with a lighthearted joke that set the tone just right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kozue<\/strong> made the Word of the Evening extra fun by encouraging us to practice blending <strong>\u201cit\u23ddwas\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 a playful challenge that sparked lots of smiles &#x1f606;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Table Topics session<\/strong>, <strong>Toshi<\/strong> introduced a creative format using pictures &#x1f4f8;. Speakers responded with personal stories or impressions, from sakura blossoms &#x1f338; to &#x1f431;&#x1f436; to more challenging themes.
