5. Deliver Your Icebreaker Speech
- Your first prepared speech project is called the Icebreaker—a 4 to 6-minute talk to introduce yourself to the club.
- It’s the first official project in your chosen path.
6. Participate Regularly
- Each meeting, members fill through various roles:
- Prepared speeches
- Speech evaluations
- Impromptu speaking (Table Topics)
- Timer, Ah-Counter, Grammarian, etc.
- Improve communication and develop leadership skills in a collaborative environment!
Mentoring Program
You will be paired with an experienced member who will serve as your personal mentor.
Your mentor will support you in areas including:
- Becoming familiar with the club’s culture and meeting flow
- Choosing the right Pathways learning path based on your goals
- Preparing and practicing your Icebreaker speech
- Understanding and performing meeting roles such as Timer, Grammarian, and Toastmaster of the Day
