🎤 Meeting Theme “Human Connection” & Word of the Evening: “RAPPORT”
Ayesha served as the Toast Masters of the Evening, and the meeting theme was “Human Connection”.
The Word of the Evening was introduced by Kazuya, who explained that rapport means a friendly and harmonious relationship or connection with others.
The theme and WoE were perfect for a Toastmasters meeting, where building connections and creating a supportive atmosphere are at the heart of what we do.

🗣️ Prepared Speeches
Two memorable speeches took the audience on very different but equally fascinating journeys.
🎵 Mat delivered a storytelling speech about discovering and listening to traditional Japanese music while driving. He shared a particularly memorable experience involving a song by Hibari Misora, whose lyrics reflected on life’s journey and growing older. His story showed how music can unexpectedly connect us with culture and personal memories.
🌊 Chloe shared her inspiring journey from Hong Kong to Japan, using Bruce Lee’s famous philosophy of “Be water” as the central message of her speech. She talked about following her passion for Japanese music and culture even when it made her different from those around her. She shared her new challenge related with her passion and dream.
