On Wednesday, August 26, we held our annual Summer Beer Party around Tsukiji Station, welcoming club members and also non-club member guests for a memorable evening of connection and celebration.

The event was designed to bring everyone closer together and have a great time. Throughout the evening, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks, engaging table topics, a challenging team quest game, and a special session celebrating Ted’s 40 Years of Membership as the Club’s Founder. These activities gave everyone plenty of opportunities to connect, get to know one another, and share memorable moments together.

Daseul & Takako: It was an honor to host this year’s OTMC Beer Party, especially as we celebrate the club’s 15th anniversary!

With the theme of 15 year, we had an interesting table topic session asking questions like “Where were you 15 years ago?” and “Where will you be 15 years from now?” With members coming from diverse backgrounds, countries, and age groups, the conversations were genuinely insightful.

Planning the event—from the agenda, logistics, and awards to the grouping, messaging, and MC scripts—was certainly challenging. However, seeing everyone fully immersed and enjoying themselves made every bit of effort worth it.

Leading the party as MCs was an incredible learning experience. It was a great opportunity to host in English, ensuring our core message resonated while making everyone feel welcomed and engaged throughout the activities.
