Our grand finale for the 2025–2026 club year was energetic and somewhat emotional under the theme “Keep on Shining”! 🌟, conducted by Toastmaster of the Evening Naoko. Word of the Evening: “Resilient”— recollected that once there was a hardship in OTMC, and it bounced back.🐸
1. Table Topics: Unlocking Your Inner Glow 💡🧠
Table Topics Master Frank challenged our speakers to share how they stay confident and keep their momentum.
- Paul shared what experience he feels proud of, celebrating a close friend who recently won a tango championship. 🕺🏆
- Max discussed his secret routine to instantly boost confidence, sharing a morning ritual that gets him psyched up and ready to stand out. 🌅⚡️
- Akane confessed what she would try if she drank a magic potion, humorously choosing to finally use all 15 of her sick leave credits. 🧪🛌
- Hitomi explained how to “Fake it until you make it”, sharing how this mindset helped her secure her current professional position. ✨
2. Prepared Speeches 🎤✨
Three phenomenal speakers stepped up to the podium, delivering impactful stories that left the audience deeply reflective and inspired.
- Paul delivered a clever speech titled “You don’t owe them an answer”, introducing tactical ways to gracefully handle difficult situations when asked unwanted questions to control over our own boundaries. 🗣️🛡️
- Kozue presented “The Climate Shaped by Quiet Heroes – The Successful Club Series”. Everyone in the room was completely drawn into her speech as she dispassionately reflected on the year, recognizing and honoring the vital contributions and immense achievements of our Executive Committee (EC) operations. 👥💼
- Joju delivered “A ship in harbor is safe, but …”, recalling his recent trip to the District Contest in Hokkaido. His core message powerfully urged us to break out of our comfort zones and shatter the mold to truly discover what we are capable of. ⚓⛰️

As the final meeting of the term, we held a momentous ceremony marking the transition of our club leadership. Our incumbent Executive Committee members took a well-deserved final curtain call, officially discharging their duties after a spectacular year of service.
